I believe most best man speeches are a compilation of other best man speeches that have been given since the begining of bm speeches. I think the jokes/lines are passed from wedding to wedding. state to state. country to country. I don’t think anyone can take ownership in the material…but they can in their performance and delivery. That what makes or breaks a speech. IMHO
