My fiance has issues with making speeches and would like to cut them out completely. I on the other hand love to talk, but I would rather not make a speech because I feel it would be awkward for me to speak and not him. Is it ok that only the best man makes a toast and no one else or do we kinda have to?
I have been wondering if it is wedding tradition for the maid of honor and the best man to make a wedding toast or speech and if so, what should/shouldn’t I say?
I am the best man at my brothers wedding this saturday and I have a speech written out. I am not a fan of speaking in front of large crowds (probably 70-100 people) and don’t want to forget what I have planned to say. Is there anything wrong with reading the speech I have written? What are the rules of this? Are there any?
I’m British, but have been asked to give a best man’s speech at a French wedding. What form should the speech take (bearing in mind that half the guests will be British)?
My boyfriend is his brother’s best man in the wedding and he is completely clueless to all of it. I’ve been to numerous weddings so I’ve been able to help him out w/ just about everything else but I can’t quite remember when the best man gives his speech, is there a certain time or a cue that’ll help him out? thanks for the help!!
