The room is full of jubilant people, all looking at you. The lights are dimmed, except for the one directly above your head. As it shines down on you, so do the eyes of everyone in the room. It’s time to give a wedding speech and you have no idea what to say. Is the picture painted above far fetched? Not likely, in fact many admit they have major issues speaking in public. For many speaking at a wedding tops the list. The art of giving wedding speeches and toasts is something people aren’t born with. Many must learn the craft before speaking publicly. The most common reason for people having issues with wedding speeches and toasts is lack of preparation. Most of us would rather just forget that things such as wedding speeches and toasts happen, and as we get older, they seem to happen often. Therefore it is important to prepare, as you may have to give a toast or speech in the near future, whether it be your wedding, or a friends.

Giving wedding speeches and toasts requires expert training, and thoughtful preparation. No matter how comfortable one is speaking in public, nothing truly, naturally prepares you until you are asked to present one. Preparation means getting materials, brainstorming, and using some friends and family as a sounding board for your ideas. Giving wedding speeches and toasts isn’t something that comes easy to everyone, and in fact can be a real issue for some people that are not keen on standing up in front of a group of strangers and sharing personal feelings. For those that need help, or just want to touch up on how best to speak at these gatherings, buying some professionally written speeches is the way to go.

The website weddingspeech4u provides a unique tailored set of wedding speeches for anyone at a wedding that would possibly be involved or inclined to speak. The website allows you to choose exactly what standpoint you want the speech to come from, including groom speeches, bride speeches, best man speeches, and more. The site charges one low fee for each standpoint, and boasts a large group of professionally written speeches for the taking.

Another website that works well for those searching for wedding speeches and toasts is ultimatespeeches. This website provides a step-by-step guide for those looking for instruction. It also provides users a low flat fee service charge for a professional wedding speech.

Coming up with a wedding speech from a website can be risky if one isn’t aware of the wedding speeches and toasts website’s reputation. It is very important to look at customer reviews and ratings on a website like Review Place, to get a better idea of what the community feels about such sites. This will certainly help you to find out which wedding speeches and toasts products are winners, and which ones need not be bought.

Making sure that your wedding speeches and toasts are memorable is not as hard as you might have imagined. Simply do diligent research on the topic, and pick the styles you like best to emulate during your own speech or toast. By doing so you will be happily situated when it comes to presenting, and therefore will have one less thing to worry about when taking part in the occasion.

NotoFroto asked:

this is the first time i have to give the best man speech!
It has to be around 3 min. I’m not so much into the entertaining speech full of riddles and jokes because I am a bit nervious it will be a dead crowd (and you have to be the type of person that is good on delevering them and i am not).

Anyways for my three min. speech this is what I have so far:

three years ago i met my friend N working in the University cafateria…

He was a hard worker… (So M, he has no excuses when it comes to doing the dishes)

Besides from work, we always had a lot of fun, whether it was playing guitars at the local bar… or just hanging around.

I have heard a lot about m from the first day I met N. No matter what we did, every night that I can remember n made it a priority to call her. You could tell that she was always on his mind.

Out of all the times that I have seen N, the happiest i have ever seen him has always been right before he was going
to visit her.

MUST ADD MORE
I will end the speech by saying:

So here’s to N and M may thier worst days in their future be better their best days of their past

(got that thanks to a nice yahoo answers person on a previous post)
So please critique… what would you add to make it longer? what would you get rid of?
Oh, once when he was talking with me on the phone he also got hit by a car… should i include that in there? Or is that better kept out
unfortunately i dont know the wife that much…

They had a long distance relationship for a long time
When he got hit with the car,he was fine…
I dont know much about weddings…

but the best man asked me to speak for around 3 min

This is the footage of the speech given by my Best Man, Miles Watts, at our wedding in August 2007. Hailed by many attending the ceremony as being the best Best Man speech they’d ever seen, there is some controversy in that it is more of a dialogue than a speech, due to me being hauled in to contribute.

Don’t confuse people. Keep it simple. Are You the Best Man For the Job?

You are in a position of honor. Your close friend is assuming the position and he needs your help. He has asked you to be his “best man”, to stand by his side and support him through his last act as a free man. You relish your thoughts of all the fun aspects of your job; you get to help coordinate a stag party, ok, so maybe that’s the extent of the fun parts. Still you want to help your old buddy make as cool and smooth transition to the other side as possible; you want to be the best best man you can be. You’re going to have to make a speech, a verbal representation of good times past, current times observed in a promising light, and words of ominous wisdom pertaining to the future of the newly linked couple.

Let’s break this speech thing down into some workable components. You need to first embrace the fact that as the deliverer of a speech, you need to project not only your voice, but others projectiles like enthusiasm, positivism, confidence, and an entertaining sense of composure. I know it sounds like a lot. Don’t worry; we have a plan to bring you through to the successful side of this speech writing/delivery.

The most important component of your speech is not the words you choose to deliver, it is how you present them to your audience. Think about it, you know that the last thing that they want to endure is a long winded, non-personally relevant, over-mushy, big bag of wind. They want entertainment. They want lighthearted laughter. They want it to be over relatively soon so that the celebration can continue. So there is your first lesson. In a nutshell: Be confident; speak up; smile a lot; don’t belabor your points. These aspects of delivery will make even a poorly written speech flow easier thereby enhancing the undercurrent of the whole ceremony.

You are going to need to at least write a flowchart to have in front of your eyes to keep you on task. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you’ll be able to fake your way through it. Most people are not fluent public speakers. This has nothing to do with you; it’s just that public speaking, sometimes especially in front of friends and acquaintances who you would think you’d be at ease in front of, makes people nervous. Without some notes for reference, speechmakers commonly will draw a blank at the crucial moment of deliverance. Although the friendly crowd won’t judge you for a poor performance, in retrospect you will wish that you had shined when the focus was on you. You will want to flow like a pro, making all wonder how you pulled off such an orchestrated masterpiece.

As for the content, that is where you are the expert already. Remember that you got this job because of your knowledge. You know the groom. You probably know him better than his new wife (mostly), especially if you have been friends for an extended period of time. Use your knowledge to bring out the lighter side of life. Keep topics non-offensive and lighthearted for the most part. It is expected and would be a letdown to the crowd if you did not do at least a little grilling. Poke some borderline, yet still clean, fun at the groom and whoever else may be present as a target of your room-captivating speech. Spontaneity is a beautiful thing as well. If you draw a blank, just take a breath and tell a little story that nobody but you and the groom would know. The audience will appreciate being made to feel like insiders, and you will be remembered as the best man who knew how to lay it down like a breeze through the trees. Salute!

Best Man Wedding Speech

Trust me, many calm and collected people who are great at public speaking, get nervous when they are asked to speak at their friends wedding. As the spokes person for the guests of honor, there are many expectations placed on you. So, how do you write a best man wedding speech toast?

Well, if you are here, then you have been requested to make the best man wedding speech for the wedding day. This is not just any day, but THE day that these two special people (including all their family and friends) will look back on for years to come. After all, when you have been deemed the Best Man, this wedding speech is even more crucial. This means that you know the groom best, and will toast the newlyweds as well at their wedding.

If that is not enough, you are also one of the main coordinators for the wedding reception. You will help organize the details for the wedding and reception to make sure that everything runs smoothly. You are also expected to look after the groom (make sure his breath smells fresh and that he is not drinking excessively). Also as a host you must ensure that guests are having a good time. This means removing any stress or dealing with people that might interrupt the wedding reception. Lastly, there are other people running around with a list of responsibilities. You need to make sure these people are on top of things while enjoying themselves.

So when are you allowed to you have a good time?

I have a feeling that you are beginning to understand why many best man candidates can not handle the tasks required. I am sure that you are flattered to be given the honor as best man to prepare the best man wedding toast, but many find it hard to juggle the direction under all this stress and responsibility.

How to Write a Best Man Wedding Toast

Writing your wedding speech is not what is time consuming. It is making sure everything blends together. Your best man wedding toast will need a theme and the necessary personal, witty, emotional, and meaningful ideas, jokes, and one-liners that make a wedding speech memorable for all the right reasons.

Even for those that are used to writing and delivering speeches alone, this can still be a challenge - and for those not accustomed to public speech etiquette (more so writing the perfectly balanced wedding speech for the big day), just the thought of standing in front of hundreds of strangers with all the focus on your every word is enough to make anyone’s creative juices come to a grinding halt.

Luckily, there is an easier way in the form of an extremely well written and simple to read book by author Tom Haibeck, professional speech-writer.

This book is considered the Bible of Wedding Toasts in the wedding realm. Regis Philbin referred to this book when toasting his daughters wedding and it will help you too. I have checked it out, and this book lays out you need to know about being an incomparable Best Man. This means more than just how to write and deliver the best man wedding speech, but also gives you insight into possible themes, wedding toasts 101, the correct use of humor, how to eliminate your fear of public speaking, how to hold their attention… all this, as well as TONS of written speeches and wedding speech templates.

Would not you like to get the job done quickly and efficiently?

Get Wedding Speech Samples

The main attraction of this package is, of course, the handwritten exquisitely crafted, witty professional wedding speeches (did I mention that there is are easy to use, step-by-step templates, a checklist, and Tom’s top 10 Do’s and Don’ts).

That is not it, there are also tasteful jokes and famous quotes that will help you personalize your best man wedding toast without sounding insincere. That is the difference between this book and all the other canned speeches that I have seen. This one will not make you look fake. Trust me, as a wedding professional I have heard many terribly delivered toasts and few had the natural well versed touch that the bride and groom deserve.

Best Man Wedding Speeches, is it Worth It?

Altogether, this is a pretty impressive package. Toms got all the bases covered here, an intense variety of useful info on every single aspect of being a Best Man, from the speech-writing and delivery itself to handling problematic guests to wedding etiquette.

In short: literally everything you will ever need to pull off your responsibilities as Best Man with style and panache are included here.

But do not just take my word for it, feel free to check it out for yourself (and have a look at a couple of those testimonials while you are there, if they do not convince you, then nothing will!)

The verdict? Two thumbs up for Tom Haibeck’s Best Man Speeches; it really is the Best Mans ultimate resource!
